Fine Powder gumming up powder bar

Those of you loading with a fine powder like Clean Shot, are you having problems with the powder bar getting gummed up?  Looks like grainuals are getting smeared, causing it to bind up. Cleaned it and replaced with a spare.

I Have stopped using 296 powder because it is so fine it leaks out and makes a huge mess!

I was and several people and dillion recommended putting a piece of scotch tape on the non moving bar to close up the gap and that fixed the issue.  Once that worked, per dillions recommendation, I contacted them again to let them know it worked and they sent me an oversized powder bar.

I found that on the interwebs. Was gonna try it.

I put 3-4 layers of tape on the top of the spacer.  Seems to do the trick. 

 

In the mean time, called Dillon, they are sending an oversized spacer. Will see how well it fits.

I use clean shot and I do the tape fix.  If worked, so my other powder drops/bars got the tape fix too.

I think @B_RAD had to do something like this. I believe it was his post that I saw, though I’m not certain.

I think you’ll have to get those parts replaced. Then, add tape between. 
 

Nobel Sport BA 9.5 was the issue for me.
