km625
Hello: Friend bought a Stoeger Coach shotgun. At twenty yards one barrel shoots left and high, the other shoots straight and high. Is this considered acceptable? Is this something that can be fixed by the owner? A gunsmith fix? Return the shotgun for a different one? Kevin M. Irishlad
How "high" and how "left" is it? Not all double bbl guns shoot to the same POI by any "stretch". High is easy to care of...lower the stock. Left is tougher so it would really have to be "bad" to correct this. Depending on the choke a "gunsmith" that does chokes properly , can rechoke it to correct the problem...more or less. If it's a full choke, he or she will have more to work with. Different shells can also alter the POI. Edited October 6, 2005 by Irishlad
