If that’s true, it clears the weight limitation for the shadow 2 optics ready model. CZ USA will be importing them to the USA since they had been available everywhere but in the US because it doesn’t make weight in the current 45 oz limit for carry optics.

But 59 ounces?  It looks like they removed the factory weight +4 oz from production also, its just 59 oz now.

Aftermarket slides and barrels of any configuration are allowed now too.

It's all part of trying to make it easier to comply with the rules by allowing nearly everything, so long as it isn't a SA trigger in CO or 15 rounds in Production.

Looks like in production they got rid of all dimensional parameters on barrels and slides.  Including caliber.  Does this mean you could now put a Glock 35 slide on a Glock 17 frame and use a 9mm conversion barrel?

I think conversion barrels are still a no go.

Slides and barrels also make think this is also to allow people who build their flocks from the ground up to be allowed into the sport with more freedom maybe?

Sure looks that way to me.

Read it. That's pretty cool. Will be interested to see what manufacturers come up with now

Vendors will love it.

In general it will add cost to those who feel the need to have the most capable guns and it will reduce the value of the members existing guns.

I think messing with equipment rules is a bad idea unless there is a strong specific need. One of the reasons I gave up on IDPA.

I’m wondering if they’re going to allow frame weights now. 59oz vs a 28oz Glock doesn’t seem very fair.

You can use whatever gun you want to, you don't have to use a Glock.

It is still 9mm minor.

Well 59oz is 59oz.... why would it matter how it got there?

was hoping they'd allow 80% frames (in prod and co) perhaps specifying minimum number of frames produced.  thousands and thousands out there.  might help get more people into our game.
