Shot my first UML match

it was a effort in futility. I seem to have forgot how to shoot a pistol. I cant reload shotgun, and I yard saled my shell caddy nearly every reload (invictus).

so thats what I did wrong.

WHat did I do right?

Did not DQ.

I learned a lot, looking forward to my match next month

Get some of the dummy 12 ga rounds made for 3 gun practice and practice reloading. 

 

I picked up a couple boxes and just spending some time practicing reloads helped a lot. It also showed me that on a timer I'm clutch with dueces but stumble sometimes with quads.

Glad you didn't DQ, I've had difficultly reloading shotgun too.

Get box mag fed sg and dont look back

Any match that you don’t DQ and you learn something, is a good match. Even if everything else goes wrong.

When I was shooting 3G I could do doubles pretty ok, but my fingers are too short to run quads without more practice than I was willing to put in. I shot local matches, so it never hurt me that badly. But as was said above, get some dummy shells and practice, practice, practice.
