I was thinking the exact same thing. How much did we spend over the years to get basically a stock 929 and some people are cutting them down.

That is what has been said. I can’t remember if somebody actually slugged the barrel when they first came out. I think there is an earlier discussion on this some where in the forums. I know a friend of mine has the 627 in 38 super and the barrel is .357.

I think most are. Mine is .358. Kind of a dick move if you ask me.

I like it. I wonder if you could loctite red a stainless steel bolt and then bring it down flush to hide the hole.

That's the plan but you'll note there is a slight chamfer on the opening before the threads start,  I have to mill one up that will leave enough to fill the void.  Plan to angle the lug back a little also....
