C_Tanner
I ran a 3MOA for along time, last year I jumped up to a 6. I didn't notice a huge difference in dot accusation or accuracy. just a little more to look at.
36873687
8 or 10 moa
AzShooter
I started with a 3 MOA C-More Railway but soon changed it to a 6. Now that all I shoot is Steel Challenge I'm using a 12 MOA dot. I'm shooting better with the 12 except when I want to test groups.
Joe4d
in process of setting up a open pin gun.. Will be used exclusively for shooting bowling pins at 10 yards. Looking at the Holoson 407,, 2MOA and wondering if I will like it. Have very little dot experience, but always used 6MOA as that seemed to be the consensus. Although tat was for USPSA,,, Folks seem to thing the multi selections on the 507 are a waste of money as everyone just ends up using the dot as the circle is too big. Looks like the other alternative is an 8MOA circle, but that seems kinda wierd. Need to order a mount. Sight will be frame mounted... Choices now are down to a Venom 6 moa or Holosun 407. Aircooled6racer
Hello: I think it depends on your eyes and what the area is like where you are shooting. When I lived in a high desert area I liked a larger dot module. It had very open spaces and light colored ground cover. Where I live now there is grass, trees and some dark dirt. I am using a smaller dot module and shooting better with it. I voted for a 4MOA dot since that is what I am using for USPSA pistol matches now. For steel I use either a 8 or 12 for pistols. Thanks, Eric
Practicalomaha
For me it depends on the optic. For RTS2 I like the 8moa but on the Sig 3xl I like 6moa
taxil343
Ran a 6moa slide ride for years and recently switched to a 2moa 510c. The change to the smaller dot has made attaining same level of accuracy and shot calling much easier without affecting speed. I’m a big fan of the small dot. I tried it for action steel matches and felt like the dot was too big so I sold it and switched to a 12 moa which I like. But, in the never-ending quest for perfection, I've recently switched to a Holosun 510c that I mounted horizontally. I really like the circle dot combination but don't think it's quite bright enough in the Florida sun. I previously tried a 507c and liked the 32 moa circle w/2 moa dot combo but didn't like the small size window. I think my ideal would be the large 510c window with the 32 moa/2moa 507c circle dot combo. But, it's like my wife sometimes says, "There's just no pleasing you, is there?" chenault
I've run both a 2 and a 6. I currently have the 2 and on summer days the dot even on the brightest setting can wash out. I miss the 6, it just made it more subconscious
meanmotorscooter
I've found that my older astigmatic eyes like the smallest dot possible because they turn it into a blob anyway. That being said, I recently went from an RM09 1moa to a 507c in green.
rovpilot337
I use a 6 moa on my open gun and love it.
verla
I have used a 8 MOA on my open gun for about 20 years- worked well for me. Like 6 MOA for red dot on CO pistol- vortex, DDP, RTS2 do fine for me. Can pick up the dot quickly. Like 8MOA on steel challenge 22 pistol.

Towely
Slideride, started with a 6, went to a 2 then finally settled on a 12. Ipsc matches.
jim vaughan
12 minute dot on a slideride. Battery lasts 6 months. Zero using the top tip of the dot for accuracy. Ensure that you do not have the dot on too bright - it must just be a circle with a well defined edge.
Silverscooby27
12 MOA? So is the entire window red? Just joking.
jim vaughan
12 moa is the size of a head portion of the target at 50m. Do you really need anything smaller with USPSA/IPSC? What moa were you using with your iron sights?

ccollins3006
The gun I purchased came with a cmore slide ride with 6 MOA. I like the dot size, but not sold on the dot yet. I purchased a Sig Romeo 3 XL to play with.
b2948kevin
I feel like the 6MOA is just right. 2.5 is soooooo small. (that's what she said).
