Factory 9mm Soft Primers

Planning to run a 13# hammer spring in a couple of CZ’s. What factory ammo tends to have softer primers other than just Federal? I have a fair amount of S&B 115 and 124 ammo, but I don’t think S&B is known for soft primers. How about Fiocchi or Magtech? I have a small stash of those available too. But, if I need to purchase something else, Federal, etc... I will.

I don't think you'll find any issues running most, if not all, factory ammo with a #13 hammer spring.

My Shadows both run Win, CCI, and Rem consistently with a 11.5 hammer spring, extended FP, and CZC or stock hammer.  Haven't tried other primers.

#13 on mine runs factory ammo fine.#11.5 needs a extended FP.

I just ordered the 13# hammer and recoil springs from CGW. Will try them out in my S2 and SP-01.

Ran the S2 and SP-01 today with the 13# hammer springs. No issues running factory S&B 115. Couldn’t tell much about the ejection with the 13# recoil springs since it’s an indoor range.

As others have said, 13# main spring should light anything, but I would put in the extended firing pin with reduced power FP spring just to be safe.

I run and 11.5# with a plain ole factory firing pin with RAMI pin spring and it lights off everything. Actually both my S2s do. Same setup.

13# mainspring and an extended firing pin lights off CCI rifle primers but not CCI Magnum Rifle primers in my Shadow 2. I'd expect your setup to work with most factory ammo.

This is what I did and it’s been going strong for a year and a half maybe two years now with cci,rem.

I run the light 11.5 with an extended fp. Unlike some of the other posters cci are only usually for me but not always. The only always is federal. With 13# springs everything works, but I like the light trigger
