Aiden
Hi everyone, I've been having a recurring issue with two of my magazines not dropping free at the local matches. Looks like rounds are walking forward. I'm running 40S&W so OAL is a little different. So far I've checked the following: Feed lip dimensions are well within spec for all the mags Rounds are loaded to factory OAL. RNFP 40S&W SNS coated bullet. Center rib is polished and a nice bevel has been made. What should I be checking next? Magazine spring? Any magazine catch things I should look for? B21
Have you swapped the mag springs with mags that you know work well? I'd do that, and do the same with a known working follower. That will narrow it down if it's the mag tube, or a spring / follower issue. By chance, is the mag catch reversed for a lefty?

I will do that now. The magazine catch is for right hand.
Ronemus
I find that RNFP bullets need to be seated a bit deeper than RN - rounds can tip as they feed and the FP can wedge or stick. Seating the RNFP 0.020" deeper cured my problems.
HesedTech
Polish the slide where the breach face turns under and runs to the rear. It’s probably rough enough to occasionally move the next round a bit forward causing the mag to not drop free.
