Scotty3942
Newbie looking forward to my first match. Bought a Dan Wesson Specialist 45acp and fell in love with my first 1911. Previously I was a dedicated wheel gun guy with a love for S&W 357's. Plan on trying Revolver with a TRR8 and Single Stack and Production with the Dan Wesson. I would love to get a CZ Shadow 2, but that will come later. Any and all advice and information is welcomed. I'll be going to Douglas Ridge in Estacada Oregon in February for my first match and look forward to getting to know the folks there.
perttime
I don't think a 1911 will be "legal" for production. Have you read the rules?

perttime
USPSA has a weight limit for SS: 43 ounces with empty magazine. The Dan Wesson should make that if you don't add anything heavy to it. https://danwessonfirearms.com/product/specialist/
