Dwbsig
Got a used mod.21 45 acp and I’m having problems while shooting 200 gr swc . While trouble shooting the loaded round is coming out of the chamber and is catching the case mouth of the round in the mag and the extractor is coming off the rim of the round coming out of the barrel. Picture attached pic worth another paragraph lol. Can somebody tell me how to fix this. Edited December 29, 2019 by Dwbsig
dskinsler83
If the cartridge doesnt drop freely from the chamber then you need to check the crimp, oal, etc. some semi-autos just cant run them.
iflyskyhigh
I have a couple G21’s and I could never get them to feed SWC, not matter what I tied. The bullet profile just doesn’t want to work with a Glock’s magazine/feed ramp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
HCH
I believe that same problem happened with the XD 45 (IDK about the XDM). I’d say the easiest fix would be RN bullets
Dwbsig
Thanks guys for your response, I tried some 200 gr rnfp’s and had no malfunctions.

et45
I’ve owned 5-6 21s and 3 30s and none of them would work with 200gr SWC.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
dee loo
I have a g21 and g30 too, won't run either. The geometry keeps hitting the shoulder on the swc. Interestingly, I run 200gr SWC in a g37 45 gap with no problems, but its got a different geometry..
Trader
My G4 21 runs them all day. I just loaded up another 1000 SNS. I use 10 rd magazines, that couid be a factor.
Cfish
I just use a 200gr truncated cone profile and they feed great.
orangeride
Like most people I had issues with 200gr swc in my glock .45’s. I found if I took the OAL as long as would fit in the mag I could get them to run pretty decent.
grsdoug
So my original Gen 1 Glock 21 ran 200gr swc's great. I had a Wilson barrel with conventional rifling that shot into an inch at 25 yards. Then the extractor broke and I was told Glock had a new design. I had to send it to Glock to have the slide milled for the new style extractor. When I got it back, it would no longer feed 200s and did exactly the same thing shown in the pictures. I was very disappointed. Since then I have had multiple 21s and 30s, and none would feed 200 swc.

I extended the COAL and ran -1 in the mag or ran a G21 mag and no issues so far. Only 100 or so down range so not a true success story yet, but a move in the right direction. dirty whiteboy
could not get the swc's to work either, but found some 225 grain flat points that it liked very much Edited December 6, 2020 by dirty whiteboy
Indy574
Yeah the 225gr bullets solve the problem as well. I bought some from a guy but have no idea what brand or where they came from. Any recommendations on sourcing those?

My oal is 1.
Indy574
I’ve had success at 1.220” in G30 and a G41.
robertg5322
Had a Gen 3 with a Storm Lake barrel that had no issues with 200 grain SWC bullets. I didn't think it would feed them, based on the internet, but it had no problems.
