Compensation6
Iv read and read on here, everyone has different situations. at this point someone just tell me what to do. S&W M&P Pro 9 CORE model. inconsistent light primer strikes. Apex 3.5lb trigger, 11lb recoil spring, glock 6lb striker spring iv used S&B, magtech, fed, win, usc and pmc. all 115gr all light primer strikes. just got some Jesse james going to give it a shot. Anyone have any pointers?
conditionone
I have the same set up but I use a 4 lb striker spring. With CCI I get an occasional light strike, maybe one out of 500. With Federal primers not one light strike.
Sarge
This is why I gave up on M&P’s very early on. The guns don’t react well to all spring changes. You need a lighter striker spring and I think 13 is a better recoil spring choice.
M1A4ME
Call/e-mail Apex and get their help. In my experience, they will get back to you pretty quickly.
travail
Had a similar issue with mine after installing and APEX trigger. Someone told me that's why they started reloading and what got me into it as well. Since starting to reload and only using Federal match primers, no more issues. My trigger pull on the m&p was about 2lbs.
anachronism
Did you try this?. It tells you how to adjust the tripper bar loop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMLv_JaoSkU&feature=youtu.be&list=PL49zaerr9Gi_4Y07uhJW1I0iIAPl6mr6d Edited December 22, 2019 by anachronism
Avedis
Ive posted a detailed write up about it here: If you want to ensure its a spring issue and not a timing issue, take out the striker block. Go run the gun without it and see if the issue persists. If it does, try a 13lb recoil spring and see if it helps. If it doesn't, you've likely got yourself a timing issue, refer to link above and adjust trigger bar loop. Feel to reach out via message if you need anything.
