cworks
Fire formed brass in my Bergara 6.5 Creedmoor. Looks like the throat is long. Am I going to have to little neck to bullet contact even in I seat in another .002 deeper. Marked It with a sharpie for a visual.
DesertTortoise
From what I've read you want one bullet diameter of length inside the case neck for magazine fed ammo. I had to open up the receiver on my bergara where it meets the front of the magazine to get it to feed magazine length 6.5 cm
chevrofreak
As long as the bullet is straight and can't be easily pulled out you are fine. What you will run into with your Bergara is that the feed ramp will limit how long you can load. If that is a hybrid type bullet, they actually like a good bit of jump. cworks
Thanks for the help. It’s a Berger 140 hybrid.
chevrofreak
A lot of guys jump the Berger and Nosler hybrid bullets in excess of .100" to get maximum accuracy.
cworks
Looks like I’m going to start from mag length and work my way to the lands and grooves and see how that goes.

This might help getting it to feed from mag length. Dremel drum sander attachment or hand files to make a notch
