Nose High Jam help

The front of your feed lips are too far apart.  Also, MBX springs have to be conditioned by leaving them completely loaded for a week or two until they take a set.  That doesn't sound like your problem, because a nose dive is the result of too long MBX springs.  If you haven't already done so, it pays to condition them.

Look at the OAL of your loads. The "nose high jam" you describe is commonly referred to as a Tip Up Jam. If the OAL is too short for your gun the bullet nose hits the ramp and jumps up to the barrel hood without finding the chamber. Magazine feed lips could be a factor, but the most common cause is a too short load.

Assuming there is nothing amiss with the gun, if your mag feed lips are correct, OAL is not the issue.  My Open gun will feed factory and long OALs equally well.  It even feed ultra short 115gr RN reloads.

Different brands of 124 gr JHP's need to be loaded different lengths,

and each gun might also be different.

If you're loading PD or MG 124 JHP's, and you don't have a TruBor

with an unusually short throat, 1.160" should be fine, but other

brands of 124 gr JHP's you might want to load shorter or longer.

Before you load up a bunch at 1.160", I'd take an extra minute

and run The Plunk Test - make sure loads that long will feed

through your gun, with whatever brand of bullets you're using.    :)
