Bench
Picking up range brass I found a mess of these (non magnetic) shiny nickle cases with the head stamp marking 9MM Luger WIN 19. The primers are not swedged so probably not military brass. The WIN 19 stamp is the part that puzzles me. Also they were lightly colored purple but that came off easily in the tumbler. Are they safe for reloading?

Sarge
Usually a number means crimped in my experience. Since they are shaded purple and not crimped I would guess they have already been reloaded.

I'll see how the reloading goes today on a few of them before I go forging ahead. Edited November 18, 2019 by Bench
jcc7x7
Got a bunch of this same purple washed stuff in 40 I tumbled it and loaded it and I'm still loading it FWIW

With all of the snow recently I haven't had a chance to get out to the range to see how they work in the gun but not so concerned so far.
BJB
I know Winchester made that purple training stuff in .40 & .223 but I didn't know they made it in 9mm. And, the .40 & .223 head stamp has "WMA" instead of "WIN".
MikeyScuba
I hate WMA 40's. But since LE trains at our club I've found decent amounts of it. But the primer pockets need swaging, big time and the swaging on a 650 is subpar at best.
