Stock MBX for me, 140s & 170s. I do the "let them sit loaded before use" thing they tell you to with the instructions, and they've ran great.

I’ve run MBX or gen 2 sti with gram springs and followers with taran basepads. You can either buy a mag ready to go from mbx or build one using all the stuff Above. Both work

I run stock mbx mags, they work good and for what it costs to build an sti mag with a taran base pads and grams spring and follower there isn't much of a difference in price. I would rather go with the option that is ready to go out of the box.

Any magazine that runs 100% in your given gun.  I run STI gen 1 and 2, and SV.  Some set up to lock the slide and others for Max capacity.  All with Dawson base pads.  In the end, as long as they run, that's all that matters. 

 

This is a lot like Ford vs. Chevy vs. Dodge.  It's all what you prefer.  IMHO.
