Tipping my head down when shooting? Why?

I've noticed lately I tip my head down when shooting a pistol, almost like I'm looking over the top of reading glasses. I'm not.

Rather than bringing the gun up to eye level, I'm stopping short, and tripping my head down.

Any ideas on how to cure this?

Hi Power Jack has it right. Try facing a mirror and focus on not moving any part of your shoulders, head or neck when bringing the sights up to eye level. You can even put a piece of tape on the mirror where the top of your head is to focus on keeping it level when bringing the gun up. “Don’t practice until you can get it right, practice until you can’t get it wrong.”

Sometimes it’s nice to have a buddy. Have a friend hold a broom handle or furring strip against your back while you draw and present your pistol. Put some of your conscious effort into keeping the back of your skull on that stick. This might help you see where in the process you start moving your head and make you more conscious of not doing it.
