lfine
I don’t seem to hear much talk or see at matches much in the way of the Tanfo long slides like the Match Extreme Custom .40. Any reason for that I’m missing? Is it just cost?

lfine
I’m asking about the 6” models.
himurax13
I’m asking about the 6” models. That is the Witness Hunter models. There isn't much talk because their use for competition is fairly limited and it isn't a Bull barrel.Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
lfine
The Witness Match Extreme (or other combination of words depending on the site) are 6" barrel made in 9mm, 10mm, .40 and .45 from what I can find.
himurax13
Same as what I stated before but with some extra milling, different finish, and some upgraded parts.Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

Any reason for that I’m missing? Is it just cost? What kind of matches? For USPSA/IPSC, few people want an iron-sighted 6" gun. The accuracy demands aren't that stringent, so a 4.5"-5" sight radius is enough. The power factor requirements aren't hard to hit with .40, so there's no need for extra barrel. You're just adding a lot of weight out front. The huge majority of people don't want that because of slower handling, and find that the extra recoil reduction isn't worth the tradeoff past about 5".
