Dawson 2011 Magazine Followers

Recommended Posts

I have a couple of Dawson .40 2011 "plus 1" magazine followers.  However, they don't seem to "Plus 1", even with a plus one base pad.  I know the easy answer is a grams follower, but has anyone used these and succeeded in adding a round to a .40 2011 mag?

I never found that they add capacity, but do provide some extra space, particularly when used in the 10 rd mags we're forced to use here in NY. Without them, its very difficult to insert a full 10 rd mag with the slide closed.

they add about half a round capacity over the stock, never liked  gramms .
Pretty much all I ran. Dawson and ISMI springs. With Dawson SNL pads. you get a 19 reloadable, 20+1 start.  For mor capacity I went with Bolens and Rescomp tubes... 22+1 IIRC,, but I only used them on a stage I knew they were an advantage and wouldnt reload.

I have a couple of gen 1 sti tubes with +1 bases and grams followers. All hold 20, most I down load for reloads.

Grams followers, Taran basepads, Gen1 or 2 STI tube (although I prefer gen1) 21+1 to start, 20 reloadable EASY.

So I was able to squeeze 20 in the Dawson follower mags. And they ran. But no way I’m going to reload with them
