fieryotaku
I have a Hext tac 5.0 I am converting to a Bar Sto bull threaded barrel I am going to need a new guide rod and thought about just getting the tool less rod as it would save me from having to remember paperclips. Will it just drop right in or do I need a different plug.
wgj3
New plug needed so that it has a way to stay in place without the bushing retaining it... May be able to use same actual guide rod. Edited September 20, 2019 by wgj3
gnoyesiv
Following, I have a marauder that I would like to one day put a bull barrel in as well.
zzt
To use a bull barrel requires your slide to have a reverse plug cut. Some manufacturers do that automatically, even if the slide is fitted with a bushing barrel. Take your spring tunnel plug and push it back towards the rear of the slide. If you can push it all the out to the rear, you have a reverse cut. If not, you'll need a trip to a gunsmith. I remove my guide rod and plug from the rear by pushing it back does that mean it is cut right?
