G17 gen 5mos or G17 gen 5?

Recommended Posts

I’m trying to decide if it’s better to get a G17 gen 5 and have it milled for a Holosun 507c optic, or buy the mos version.  I have read that having it custom milled would provide for for better fit and lower fit to slide.

MOS is cheaper than custom milled work.

Thanks! The cost difference for non MOS is about $80. I’ll go for MOS.

That was my conclusion as well. Worth the $80 just to have the option to mount an optic (which I don't currently have on any of my blasters.)

Tough decision.. I'll likely go MOS, and later get another slide milled for my G17.

The MOS will allow you to decide which optic you prefer and then you may proceed with milling for that optic.

I have a 17 MOS and do not see a single benefit to machined over the MOS. As stated in another post, strip a screw, just replace the MOS. Strip a screw in a machined slide and you are out of luck.
