Mcfoto Posted August 20, 2019 Share Posted August 20, 2019 I'm looking at buying my first red dot for a G17 MOS I have on order and noticed that Vipers seem to be on sale for even less than the Venoms ($179 on Amazon and Midway). Almost makes me want to jump on it but wondering if they are dumping for a new model coming out. Any scuttle butt? BTW, I did a search on Vipers vs. Venoms and got some good results but go ahead and opine on that as well. The Viper seems like a nicer unit but the big disadvantage is that you have to pull it to change the battery. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pharoh Posted August 20, 2019 Share Posted August 20, 2019 (edited) I considered both to setup my wifes pistol, went with a viper and dont regret it. Taking it off and on is no big deal for battery replacement and doesn't seem to loose zero after re-install. RJH Posted August 20, 2019 Share Posted August 20, 2019 Recently got a viper cause they were $50 cheaper. Like it so far, but have only shot a few hundred rounds though it.
