rchaas
I fit the CGW RR kit on my Shadow 2 along with some polishing of internals. Very happy with results. Initially, the disco needed fitting to achieve SA reset. The DA reset seemed fine. Happy with how that turned out. However, after 200-300 rounds, the DA suddenly stopped resetting. After checking everything over, it became apparent the disco needed further fitting. I removed material from the appropriate surface on the disco and now DA reset is great. My question is, why would the DA reset be good initially, but after shooting the pistol a bit, then require further disco fitting? rchaas
Yes. Or the most obvious thing, that I didn’t check...the pre-travel screw had loosened. Arrggh.
Wrecks
Usually when the pretravel loosens it makes the DA longer, doesn't normally cause it to stop resetting.
rchaas
Pretravel screw (upper) on the CGW “old style” trigger. As it loosens, it moves forward, blocking DA reset.
