bobbo5
I decided not to wait for CZC to get me a new plate for Trijicon. I took my existing plate for VTX RZR to my machinist and had him take the integral location bosses off and drill and tap 2 holes and put in STEEL location pins in it. Works like a champ and the location pins fit WAY better than the bosses the plate will come with. I had to shorten the screws like everyone will have to with the rds plates will. Easiest way to shorten screws is with a sander (belt or disc). A little blue loctite and 15 in/lb of torque and you'll be all set! I doubt if there will be, as the hood sits back from the ejection port. Dremel cutting wheel. Put the screw in a small needle nose vice grip, the width of the cutting wheel and 1 thread was enough. Beveled ends, slapped blue loctite on, no problem. You can also just use a metal file, they only need to be shortened few thousands, typically. Use calipers on the screw to see how you are progressing.
