Do they all have an enclosed base, ie non exposed lead

Bullets designated as "FMJ" generally do not have enclosed bases.  If the base is enclosed, it usually has some different terminology.

Usually, but maybe not always.

Montana Gold CMJ’s are FMJ’s with a copper looking cap on the bottom to enclose the lead. Almost looks like a gas check.

But as noted FMJ’s are typically exposed base bullets

Most don't, and they require a lot of cleaning to keep your comp clean and lead free.

Were you looking at the ones on gun.deals yesterday? I was thinking about getting some but I don't think I want the exposed because it probably smells like lead when you shoot and I don't want to breathe it.

Hollow points usually have the jacket covering the bottom/base.

Yeah, that's all I use in my TruBor - no cleaning necessary     :)

Yes. Think of them like a Hershey’s kiss.
