Is there a need to sight in after changing a the dot module on a slideride?

Not sure. But I know I would verify zero to be sure.

It varied for both of my open guns.  I did replace the diode (8 to 6) in both of the guns and just needed to re-zero one of them.

Yes you need to re zero after you change the module.

I changed from a 16 to a 12 and did need to re-zero.

I finally got around to changing the dot module on my 10/22. I went from an 8 to a 4. I  wanted to try the smaller dot for Steel Challenge. 

It does indeed need to be re zeroed.  Mine was off by quite a bit.
