10ring
Does this bullet look familiar to you? Who makes it? It's a 9mm, 125 gr JHP. The one on the right is of the base of the bullet. Edited July 11, 2019 by 10ring
dthomas1003
It looks like a Hornady HAP projectile.
BJB
Isn't the HAP base flat & flush?

Guy Neill
While it seems familiar, nothing "clicks". Do you have more information? How old? I expect you are saying it is a reload.
Joedirt199
Doesn't zero have a new hap style bullet? Haven't seen the base of the zero bullets so can't say for sure.
chevrofreak
Dont know who "makes" it, but have a look at the Everglades competition style JHP.

Service Desk
Looks very much like the Zero 125 grain competition bullet.... Edited July 12, 2019 by Service Desk Correct spelling
drewbeck
Zero, precision delta, or hornady. I’m a 115gr guy so couldn’t say for certain but I’d guess Roze distribution is who should google if you want some. Or precision delta.... hornady is way to proud of their Bullets if you shoot many at all.
Hi-Power Jack
Seems strange that a JHP would have a two- piece base ?? That's one of the advantages of JHP's is that they're manufactured from one piece that also covers the base.
superdude
Zeros look like that. It's not a Hornady, they have flat bases. Precision Delta's have skives on their JHP bullet nose. Therefore, most likely a Zero.
10ring
The base isn't two piece. It's hard to see in the photo. I'll check out the Zero bullets. That sounds like the best guess. Thanks -- Todd
Ssanders224
I'm 99.9% sure It's the bullet Everglades sales as their "competition style" 125gr. The base is what we call a stepped base. It is not a two piece jacket. PD also uses this style base punch. PD produced a bullet almost identical to this for a short time earlier this year, and there are some out there in the wild. However, it has since been re-designed and will be available soon.
Joedirt199
Looked at the everglades and it does have the impression in the bottom. Guessing it is when it is sized and the jacket is smashed on and pressed out or in the mold.

superdude
Everglades has declined to identify who makes some of the bullets they sell. I asked specifically about their 9mm 147 JHP, which looks identical to the Zero bullet. They replied that they do not release manufacturer information on unbranded bullets. The OP's pictures look exactly like Zero's bullets. If they're not made by Zero, then someone is making bullets that look like Zeros.

When the punch forces the bullet into the forming die, the profile ground on the punch gets transferred to the base of the bullet.
10ring
It sure looks like the Everglades bullet. The picture on the Rose Distributing site of the Zero bullet looks like the front of the bullet is more rounded and has skives around the hollow point. One is a RN-HP and has skives. http://www.rozedist.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RZD&Product_Code=R162-A&Category_Code=ZBJ-9MM The other is a conical shape with no skives. http://www.rozedist.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=RZD&Product_Code=R136-A&Category_Code=ZBJ-9MM The bullets in your first post are like Zero's conical with no skives. I have several thousand of both types within inches of where i'm sitting right now.
