Steve-O
Just got back from the range with my Limited Custom .40 using Federal Syntech ammo and was having some light primer strikes with my new Henning Firing Pin. Everything is factory besides the FP, I put the factory FP back in and no more light strikes. Any help would be appreciated.

tdp88
Get a PD firing pin spring but I would stick with the Henning firing pin.

tdp88
I've heard the PD firing pins are more prone to breaking.

Steve-O
I see the PD is heavier than factory and the Henning is very light, which camps idea is the best?
OPENB
Heavier pin hits harder, but nothing is a substitute for seating your primers deeply. Lighter pin decreases lock time.

OPENB
I run the Patriot pin & spring in a Stock II. I’m happy with that setup.
johnbu
Lets see... Lighter than factory...fails factory ... passes PD heavier than factory.... hmmm? I have 25,000 on a PD firing pin with no failures. the gun sets off everything tried with the 15.5 hammer spring and pd return spring. just my experience. MemphisMechanic
Run a factory pin. They work great and are also free. Leave it like it is.

Mine broke during a Stoeger class this year. Gun was in the 6k+ round count area. He mentioned the stock ones are prone to break.
