KelsonAK
As my summer training schedule ramps up... What are people seeing for times in practice vs. times in matches?

MikeBurgess
It all depends on what and how you are practicing? I may practice speed and go full potato in the speed department so my times would be much lower than how I would actually shoot at a match. On the other side of the coin I may use practice to figure out what a reasonable match pace feels like and then do my best to replicate that during a match. latest example for me was A1 we shot the classifier 09-09 lightning and thunder, in practice the week before we set that up and I shot the same score at the match as I was in practice once I found the correct pace feel. rowdyb
in steel challenge i can go about 0.20 seconds faster per string in practice than in in a match.
Slide4949
I would suggest reading all of Steve Anderson books on live fire and dry fire training. I found them to be very helpful.
GunBugBit
I view a Steel Challenge match as practice. Practice for what, I'm not sure.
