I use Slide Glide light on the rails/barrel and Weapon Shield on everything else.

Between the 2 I think slip 2k, they have the pedigree and test results on their web page is pretty impressive. I’ve been using Molecular Advantage lately and really like it.

It's funny how there are countless threads on gun forums about lube, yet you still see a steady stream of people saying their Dan Wesson stainless steel 1911 is crap because the frame and slide rails locked up.  When questioned about how they lubed their guns, I've yet to see one say he used a good grease on his rails.

agree whole heatedly with your comment about "how they lubed their guns".  Lot of competitors try to run their guns too dry and they seize up- wonder why.

If you're shooting OPEN (or with any kind of optical sight), you should

try Brian's Slide-Glide.

I used to use oils, and the front of my C-More would get sprayed every

stage from the oil splattering - the Slide-Glide doesn't move, and my

C-More stays "un-splattered"   (is that a word ?).
