Modify Slide Release

Hi,

First post here. I tried searching google for answers and I've searched the IDPA rule book but I wanted to get a for sure confirmation on my question.

I just got a CZ P-10F and I plan to use it for IDPA SSP. I'm having an issue of my trigger hand thumb riding the slide release and causing the slide not to lock after the last round. I usually run Gen4 Glocks and being left handed I dont have this issue.

Options are retrain years of grip technique, go back to Gen4 Glocks, or cut the release. My reason for posting is if I cut the release tab will this DQ my gun from IDPA or remove me from SSP?

Thanks

As you noted

8.2.1.3 SSP Excluded Modifications (Non-Inclusive list):
A. Externally visible modifications other than those listed in the Permitted Modifications section.
B. Aftermarket or visibly modified magazine releases, slide stops, safety levers, de-cocking levers, and hammers.

I did see 8.2.1.3.B which most likely would bump me out of SSP.

You're correct.  Do it and the gun now fits in ESP.

If I were you, I'd modify the pistol to suit me and choose the division where the pistol complies with the rules.
