SigSauer Max 1911 Magazines

I have two magazines that came with my SigSauer 1911 Max Mitchel 40S&W.

Anybody recognize who’s the manufacturer? Need to change the follower, remove the back spacer and get longer basepads.

TIA.

the ones that came with mine were wilson combat the 47ben are the long pads the fit them and made then drop below the mag well

I'm ordering the 47ben from the  Wilson Combat site in hopes that they will fit my magazines.  Also ordering their 40S&W/10mm spring and follower kit.

I load long and won't fit in the mags with the magazine spacer..

Don't think you'll get the spacers out without damaging the magazine, and those dimples that hold the spacers in place will still be there causing you issues if you do.

Probably easier to sell those and just buy new mags.

The followers are definitely Check-Mate http://www.checkmatemagazines.com/index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=product&task=show&cid=64&name=cm-9-40-f-follower&Itemid=298  Compare the patent numbers on the followers.

The basepads are also definitely Check-Mate http://www.checkmatemagazines.com/index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=product&task=show&cid=113&name=removable-base-set&Itemid=298

I'm thinking these magazines are made by Check-Mate.

I had the same problem.  Removing the spacer helps, but you do not get reliable feeding because the 9mm follower is too short.  You need a 38 Super follower.  A suggestion I received was to use 38 Super mags instead.

My Sig 1911MAXM pistols both came with Wilson Combat 47-series magazines.  Wilson Combat even exchanged 2 of the factory 40 S&W magazines for 10mm magazines due to feeding issues with SAAMI-length 40 S&W ammo.

The WC 47BEN 0.625" basepads are what I use, but I had to shave the basepad off at an angle in order for the gun + empty magazine to fit inside the USPSA box for Single Stack.

Not sure if you can tell in this picture, but the bottom of the basepad was cut off at an angle with no length removed from the rear and almost 0.25" taken off the front (almost up to the molding line).  This made the bottom of the mag flush with the USPSA box when inside the gun, maintaining maximum legal length of the basepad.

Here's what the 47BEN 0.625" basepads look like when new:

Let me know if you want any more before/after pictures or exact measurements of the basepads - I have some new ones and can do a better comparison.
