rooster
Is grit tape allowed on slide near muzzle in production class. I have a Glock 34 gen 3, and would like to add a piece of grit tape near muzzle to act as a forward cocking serration.

JohnStewart
Appendix D4, 21.4. That appears to allow it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
rooster
That rule applies to grips and grip panels. SLIDES: You may replace the slide with an OFM or aftermarket slide of the same length, contour and caliber as the original slide for that model of gun. this is 21.3 adding the tape would not be same contour. in co division it stipulates that it is legal. im thinking because it’s not stated that it not legal. another rule states that the only milling allowed is for front sight installation only. HoMiE
You can run a *thumb rest [generic]* though.

He said the GoGun take down lever or similar replacement takedown lever/slide stop that has an integrated thumb rest is legal because those parts are allowed to be replaced with aftermarket parts (though a strict reading of the rules says take down levers aren't allowed to be replaced with after market; nitro fins would still be allowed). You can't just go along and bolt a thumb rest to your frame.

pjb45
I think I saw a jr female shooter moved to Open at Nats one year because of gripe tape in the wrong place.
