3 gun match from a restricted mag state to free state

looking to attending 3 gun match in PA,

coming from NY

how do you compete with restricted capacity mags?

When I lived in NY (four years ago), I hypothetically might

have owned a set of hi cap mags which I brought, or didn't

bring, to the matches in PA.

 

But, I didn't use the hi cap mags, hypothetically, in NYS.

You reload more.

 

Dryfire your mag changes if you run a 2011 pistol - I wouldn’t risk borrowing high cap mags that are untested in that gun.

 

Run a Glock or XD or Walther? Borrow some mags for sure.

 

And same for finding a friend there who’ll let you borrow some quality 30rd AR mags. Those also run in virtually any gun without testing.

Find a group of friends and rent a storage locker in PA. That's what some of us in the People's Republic of NJ do.
