MattBaker5745
Foam rolling is extremely important not only for relieving muscle soreness, but also improving range of motion. There is a proper way to “roll out” and YouTube will be your best friend when it comes to rolling out properly. As a CrossFit coach/competitor and personal trainer who’s now active duty in the Navy, rolling out is my go to after any training/intense shooting session. As far as warming up before a match goes, dynamic stretches are your best friend, don’t do isometric stretches before a match. Again if y’all have any fitness related questions about programs, general nutrition ask away.
pete627
OK OK ... should we go straight for the EPP (24") thing or a "gentle" (softer) roller??

Ming the Merciless
I use it every time before shooting. It helps me get my foam ear plugs rolled out nice and thin so I can insert them into my ears properly.

99mpower
as someone going through PT right now, foam roller is definitely a HUGE benefit if you are using it properly
Kwontanamo
i'd also add 15ibs resistance bands for shoulder stability. I recently tore both rotator cuffs from bench pressing (not crossfit ironically) and I've had to put a lot of strength back into my stabilizer muscles. That and/or crossover symmetry bands. one or the other is a must.
ColoradoNick
The vibrating foam roller is even better.
