CSEMARTIN
I've been thinking about trying stainless steel media. What is your experience with this? Has anybody used this in a regular tumbler (without water/soap)? Are there issues with the plastic tumbler holding up? How do you clean the media? What do I need to know? Thank you. RHT447
By "regular tumbler" I assume you mean vibratory. I cannot speak to that. YouTube is your friend. I have used a Thumbler's vibratory with walnut shells for decades. I still use it for brass that just needs a "touch up". That said, I got one of these-- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaiuYqWLIbI --and love it. Here's another video with some good tips, especially the Armorall. That is what I now use. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kSPu0x29HQ From my experience--- Armorall---Adding too much hurts nothing, but is a waste. Ideally, the solution should still be a little sudsy at the end of the cycle. Lemi Shine--Adding too much is also a waste, but will turn your brass pink(ish). Steve RA
It won't work in a vibratory tumbler, needs to be in a rotary. Don't know how it would work dry, not well I would imagine.

CSEMARTIN
Very impressive. I hadn't considered using vinegar until now.

427Cobra
Been there done that, I went back to dry media for cleaning brass, much less work, and Uber clean brass does not shoot better, especially in precision rifle.
