ClayBuster
Anyone think this is a problem?  I'm not say this is what did it, but 5 days and maybe 1000 rounds.
ClayBuster
Initially, it started flickering and I though wow that battery didn't last long, so I pulled it off the plate and one of the ground ( I think it's a ground ) tabs was laying on the plate the battery fell out and the other tab was hanging. This kind of stuff usually only happens to my brother. Called Trijicon yesterday and they should have it back today and let me know what's up hopefully.

retiredshooter
If you cant get the base plate corrected . might try a sealing plate from trijicon
GOF
A sealing plate should be used with any RMR that uses a bottom feed battery. It keeps it from bouncing, which can damage the battery contacts.
mveto
I’d be interested in what cz custom has to say about the warped rds plate.

I didn’t know I needed one with a type 2.  First pistol mounted optic, you live, you learn.
Dwbsig
I’m very curious what caused the warped plate what’s to keep the new plate from warping.

I have a class this weekend so I ordered a 507c to get me through the weekend. Almost had to use my Wilson EDC x9 for the class, that would have sucked, I hate that gun.
Dwbsig
ClayBuster I would find out what the torque for the plate is supposed to be so that it doesn’t get over torqued.
ClayBuster
My RMR is on the way back, they said it was a faulty electronics unit, they’ve seen it before.  They replaced the electronics and updated the emitter support. The update must be new, the unit was made in March.   The new CZC mounting plate is installed I have the Trijicon sealing plate RMR will be here tomorrow Edited May 13, 2019 by ClayBuster
JAustin316
You can put a piece or 2 of electrical tape on the bottom under the battery just to ensure that it stays pushed up and vibration free. There is a company that makes a sealing plate with a bubble punched into it for that very reason.

FatPanda
I’ve seen people still put a square of  electrical tape on the bottom of the battery just to give it an extra umph in case it feels like moving.
