jwilkinson6
Does anyone know of a rule that explains whether or not it is legal to start with the hammer down on a loaded DA/SA gun in Limited division? Versus hammer back safety on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So if it isn’t prohibited in the Limited appendix then it’s legal. Therefore, it’s legal for a Limited gun to start in any of the configurations listed in 8.1.2. Note that if your gun is DA/SA with a deckocker and no safety, then hammer down would be the only allowable way to start- you can’t ever start hammer back without a safety on a loaded start. Mcfoto
If you need a rule, try this: 8.1.2.3 “Selective action” – chamber loaded with hammer fully down, or chamber loaded, and hammer cocked with external safety engaged (see Divisions in Appendix D).
