Can you please add slip2k to the test as well?  I use exclusively slip2k and interested to see how it performs vs. others.  BTW my highest round count Stock 2 just passed 110k and it still runs like new.  I have always cleaned it with Ballistol and lubed with only slip2k (no grease or other brands of oil).

You can find a lube alternative around the home if you are in a bind, like motor oil or even canola oil, cooking oil or spray. The famous WD-40 is not a lubricant, but a solvent; hence, it should not be applied to lube or grease any moving parts.

Alternative? Hundreds if not thousands of shooters use synthetic motor oil as their primary gun lube.

Yeah, I buy a quart of Mobile 1 every decade or so.

Interesting discussion here.  I use Lubriplate on rails and barrel unlock bevel, and either light motor oil or light oil on internal parts.  Has been working well.  After a shoot I usually field strip and do a quick wipe-down and light re-lube, certainly not a detail cleaning.  I'm using Sport Pistol which is very clean, and have never had any problems even here in North Carolina where things can get hot.  May have to switch to Rotella!  I know a lot of motorcycle riders swear by Rotella as an excellent lube and high wear resistance.
