Bmans45
I had some cast bullets left from years past and I have been loading them and shot them at the local match last weekend. I had about 3000 on the shelf so I will run out in a month and or two. How do the coated bullets shoot compared to the lubed hard lead that I am used to. I will chryno them to make sure I get power factor of course .
Steve RA
Should be fairly close, just use the load you use with the cast bullets. Be sure to do the Plunk Test to make sure they fit the same as the lead ones, might have to change OAL some, perhaps not.
jrswanson1
It depends. The coated bullets I use consistently shoot 50 fps faster than the same lead bullet and loads out of all of my pistols in 9mm and 40 S&W. Same mold, one hard cast lead and the other poly coated.
