Do any of the flat wire recoil springs (Wilson, Glock, ISMI) fit on the stock PPQ SF guide rod? I just cut an inch off of the factory spring, and it works fine down to 122 PF. I was using the glock spring conversion thing, but the slide would drop out of battery when I held the Q5 SF muzzle up and shook it. I've run about 1K rounds through it since cutting off the factory spring with absolutely no issues.
jdlincoln
I used a ZR guiderod that I drilled a 1/8" hole into the center. I'm using a 13# Wilson flatwire 5" 1911 spring. it runs my 130 PF handloads perfect with no issues whatsoever over 1K rounds. I know you asked about the OEM guiderod, but I thought I'd mention, just in case.
