Stony Lane
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLSkXYA-Ir8 Finally, Beretta is beginning to listen. I'd prefer the regular frame (not the vertec) and would prefer a G so I didn't have to thumb the hammer down, but I'll probably buy one if it's not too high. Mercs
I got a notification about this today. The specs are very appealing, and I love the Beretta 92 in my hand. I do wonder how the new trigger system will be received. http://www.beretta.com/en/new-92X-performance/Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

RJH
Behold the Awesomeness that is Beretta 92x. I bet you can get the wraparound grip like in an M9A3 if you don't like the Vertec. This is the Beretta i always wanted, now like Gary said, how much?
Matt1911
Very interesting pistol. I've had two 92fs pistols in the past and regret selling them. This may temp me to get another Beretta.
gunz213
I can’t wait to pick one up. It will definitely fit well with my other 92’s and magazine compatibility makes range trips easier.
Chills1994
1350 grams comes out to 47.6 ounces... unloaded.... so almost 3 pounds empty EDIT: safety on the frame? Hot diggity dog! does that mean you can start out cocked and locked in the holster? Will they ever figure out a way to shove more than say 15 rounds of .40S&W into a 92/96 frame? Soooo...we're basically getting a spruced up version of a 92 Stock? EDIT: the 92X could make a good steel challenge gun...cocked and locked... or if you could get a 96X .40 cal version to hold closer to 20 rounds you could have a viable limited (major) gun. The 9mm Mec Gar 20 rounders... I could only stuff 15 .40 cal rounds in them. I don't recall now...nor do I know if the max mag length rule in Limited has changed??? I assume the 15 that you are talking about was in the mecgar 20 round 9mm? If so probably couldn't get enough 40 in 140s to be competitive, dang i really like that gun too. Stony Lane
I can load 16 +1 with a Taran Tactical CZ +4 (9mm) extension on a Mec-Gar 13-round .40 magazine. (and under 141mm)

With just 16 rounds of .40 on board, it didn't leave much margin for error on a stage... miss a steel or make up a shot on paper and you could end up doing a flat footed slide lock reload in the middle of a stage. Then that seemed to throw off my plan or tempo for the rest of the stage. Which is one of the reasons I just stuck with a 92 Brig Inox and 20 + 1 of 9mm (minor). Yeah...yeah...I can already hear the "but minor sucks" arguments spooling up. Save yourself the key strokes...I've heard it all before like 9 years ago. It's not like I was going to win a new Chevy Silverado Z71 pick up truck at each local match...where dropping points because of major/minor scoring really mattered. This stuff is supposed to be fun, right?
gunz213
I preordered one with an ETA of June. Supposedly Beretta will be announcing 6-8 new 92 models at the NRA show in April.
Jeff O
Don't think I would trade my LTT for it. Prefer the G model for Production/SSP. If it is in fact weighs over 47 ounces as indicated above, it will never make Carry Optics and is too heavy for anything in IDPA.
