2 audible clicks trigger reset

I just installed the EGW koenig trigger kit and SVI trigger on my Trojan 1911... Everything appears to be functioning fine except I'm now getting 2 clicks on reset. First click happens as soon as I begin to rack the slide and I can feel it in the trigger. And second click is the normal reset as I let the trigger out.

Any ideas what's going on?

I'm thinking its the disconnect?

Remove your grip safety and thumb safety so you can visually see what's happening during the reset.  I had a similar problem and it turned out the trigger bow was loose vertically and  shifting positions during reset.

Does sound like the disconnect.

Does it do it with and without the mag in place?

Try either the original trigger with the new kit or the original hammer, sear, disconnect and the new trigger.

Should narrow it down.

Then start replacing parts piece by piece.

for all  combinations it could  take few years😉

first try to adjust  correct over travel of the trigger in both directions.

All of those parts are not “Drop In”. You are rolling the dice on simply throwing them in and hoping that it will work properly.

😀

👍

and  a little  prayer would not hurt before installation .😉

Guys I'm not suggesting he throw parts together and run it.  Just a method of narrowing down the Click, while dry firing.

And FWIW except for sear to safety engagement or disconnector operation most of those parts may very well work, to one degree or another.

Except for the hammer falling to half cock no damage will be done in dry firing.
