Is anybody using this upper? Does the last round bolt hold open LRBHO work?

I have a couple of the NFA side-charger uppers with the same mechanism. It works fine. You may have to tweak the wire some.

Be advised that if you use this device, you will not have much, if any, ability to shorten the bolt stroke.

I'm running a basic KAK 9mm buffer, rubber spacer and 308 spring. That should be no problem with this upper, right?

If you can manually lock the bolt now, it should be fine.

My main PCC is NFA side charger upper. The LRBHO worked great before I short stroked it.

I prefer to have a working LRBHO since we're now running PCC's with a 10 rd mag limit in Jersey.

 

I'll be assembling a new upper with this NFA offering

I have an NFA upper with LRBHO. It works fine with standard buffer and spring, extremely hard (manual racking only) with taccom 3 stage buffer, and impossible with a short stroke on top of it.

I'm running that paired with one of their lowers, works fine, for me no wire tweaking. Using the Taccom ultimate bolt (no weight), Tubbs 308 spring, and a 6 oz. buffer (may go lighter).
