revoman
Asking for a friend. What other extractor will fit and work on a 8 shot 38 Super?
Toolguy
The 38/357 extractor should work. Might need to run a 38 super chamber reamer in there, but maybe not.
missed it by that much
Probably not the right guy to answer, but what it's worth. I have an 8 shot 38 super original from s&w and my 929 uses the same moon clips. Maybe someone with more knowledge might be able to chime in. I'm not sure if that makes the extractors compatible. 10mmdave
I swapped out some 38/357 cylinders for super cylinders on 2 guns and the 38/357 extractors fit fine. When I started shooting 9mm brass in these 2 I did need to do a little work on the extractors to stop some sticky extraction (or maybe it was insertion??) pskys2
Toolguy is the guy who knows, he's a regular Bianchi Competitor (pretty good also) and he's a skilled machinist who has built his share of pistols/revolvers.
revoman
I met him one time in Kansas City a long time ago when ICORE was first getting started and I was there trying to promote ICORE. This would have been in the early or mid 90’s.

revoman
I forgot to add that I was really impressed with Toolguy back when I met him in the early 90’s and he is the guy to ask questions about revolvers. Truly innovated.
