SIG MPX 10 round mag disassembly

Has anyone else had an issue removing the factory baseplate from a 10 round SIG MPX for cleaning? I can easily remove the MPX baseplates for 20 or 30 round mags - seems like the 10 round baseplates are glued on?

I believe those where made for the ban states- could be wrong-

But that's why they don't come apart

Have heard dipping them in some boiling water should soften the glue up enough to be removed.

So... came upon this thread because I was trying to remove the baseplate of my Sug MPX magazine and up the capacity of a 10 rounder I accidentally purchased... (I’m lawfully allowed to have high capacity magazines). 

The base plate of a factory 10 round magazine is CRAZY GLUED shut. Like tons of it. You’re going to have to break it carefully then add an aftermarket baseplate like one from Taran Tactical
