My gun has run like a top for the last ~12K. Wondering if I'm rolling the dice and should start changing firing pin, pin spring etc? Seems like cheap insurance. Clint U66 Posted December 23, 2018 Share Posted December 23, 2018 Cant hurt. Those parts are relatively cheap and I've seen a few guys with broken firing pins. Do you take the barrel down and clean the piston and the chamber it resides in? I do that with mine every once in a while so if you haven't you may find a lot of fouling and carbon build up in there. Seems like they're having the most issues cause the parts are so "hard". I'm wondering if/when I replace, should I go factory or aftermarket parts.
