I just picked one up today, will try it out tomorrow.

Mine didn't have the barrel nut either. Is it much of a process to get one from the manufacturer?

Does anyone know if it's possible to put a rifle buffer tube on one of these? Possibly with some minor modifications? I'd like to put a Luth MBA1 on mine when it comes in.

I don't remember how my MBA1 mounted on my 308 and I'm too lazy to go to the gun room to check ... But if it has a tab that locks into the lower like a carbine end plate, then no ... The end plate that comes on the gun had a smaller dimple than a normal end plate. Additionally you would need to make/buy a spacer to make up the length difference for the buffer

Ok how did you mod the 9rd. mags and did you do a side x side test with and without the comp? Thanks.
To fit 10 you simply trim down the baseplate retainer. The 19 doesn't have the spike to trim - was hoping I could do the same and get 20.

Didn't do SxS test but a friend just got his VR80 so hopefully I can just do both on video at once. But I can say for sure that the comp definitely keeps the gun flatter

Where are people finding these to buy? Online, everywhere says Out of Stock. Locally all my shops say "coming soon". Want one so bad! Lol

Also, I saw someone mention you can replace the stock with a standard AR grip and a COMMERCIAL spec stock? Can anyone confirm that it is indeed comm and not milspec?

Thanks!

So Gallery of Guns has them exclusively until March ... Selling out very fast. Other shops have purchased from them for resale (KY Gun Co) for example. Most are still selling out. You can find them at premium on Gun Broker. I was told another shipment in 2wks or so.

Yes you remove the factory stock thing and you can put a standard AR grip on using the factory screw and the buffer tube accepts commercial spec stocks

How’s this compare to the vepr 12? I have one I was going to send in to dissident but this may be a better option??

Friend of mine has a Dissident, hope to have an all shotgun match this weekend if weather allows. A bunch of people want to shoot my VR so I'm sure we will get some good feedback.

However I can say my VR has been running great. If it proves to be as reliable or better than a Dissident we absolutely have a winner - especially at the price point the VR is at (I'm talking fully race ready w extra mags for 1/3 the price of just a KL-12)

Anybody know yet if the trigger/hammer or the selector are AR compatible, or are they proprietary to the VR80?

I really hate that you absolutely CAN NOT find these in stock anywhere. I’d buy one in 5 sec.

Appears to be proprietary ... There are some aftermarket options in the works

Any idea what was causing all of the issues? Was it the mag catch the whole time? Awesome run by the way!!

We shot 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3 ... I think the first light strike on 4 was simply the gun was damn near frozen lol ... 5, I think the under the wall weak side I just didn't have it shouldered enough and it just went downhill, and being on my knees and lefty, everything was off there. 6 went well ... 1 was the mag catch issue and that got rectified after 1 and I noticed it was DRY at that point so I squirted some oil on, which probably didn't distribute quickly enough causing that quick jam on 2 ... By end of 2 it was back to "normal" and stage 3 was smooooth.

I also haven't cleaned this thing once since the initial cleaning before it's first shots. Next match it will get a good scrubbing and lube prior to the match. Figured this match really didn't mean anything, just for fun, so took what was running to see how I faired.

My buddy who just for his VR came too and his ran clean all day. It only had about 150 thru it prior to the match!
