sandrooney
There is not much on the VV data chart. Only 2 loads with 130 gr bullet. I have a lot of it, had it sold but found out I can't ship it, so would like to use it if possible. Thanks.
zzt
Define minor. If you are talking 130PF I'd say no. It will be inconsistent. If you are talking 150+, then maybe. You can also load short to keep the pressure up.
Ofishl1
I have run this for years in my Open Gun at Major...like zzT states I run run it down to 150pf for steel challenge..runs fine....I have 15 1 pounders... if you want more...
sandrooney
zzt. I will try loading shorter. I was thinking more 135ish PF. Ofishl1. I was using it for major in my open gun but I quit shooting open. Thanks a lot
zzt
s, why do you care what power factor you end up with. The idea is to get a soft, accurate, flat shooting load for steel. The dot should not leave the window, if possible. I wouldn't use 130s, I'd use 115s or lighter. Unless your Open gun is loose as a goose, I doubt it will run at 135P. None of mine will. Obviously I don't know what your gun will run, but the majority of Open shooters that I shoot with in SCSA run somewhere in the 150sPF. Their guns don't even move under recoil. There are a couple who shoot their USPSA major loads for steel. I double plug when ROing them.
Ofishl1
Sounds like your now running in production or limited..I run a PCC 9mm and tried the 105 with 115g and 121 but didnt like it..I think it was a compressed load at 5.9g or 5.6..did not try it in a handgun..experiment with the dot and diff loads, a light bullet will take a fair amount of powder..heavier may be better to start the experiment
sandrooney
Yes PCC and prouduction. I think I will stick with tite group. I just thought if I could use it I would.
IDescribe
Dont do it. There a more entertaining ways to waste gunpowder.
MemphisMechanic
Definitely hang on to it until you find an open shooter looking for a premium powder.

Since the "season" has ended in much of the US, it might take a few months for it to sell, but someone will buy it in the Spring
Jim Watson
I got stuck with some. It did well enough with 147 gr 9mm Minor that I was able to use it. Lighter bullets were very erratic.
