Dillon 650 Powder drop tube not lining up

Recommended Posts

Reset the press for 40 and sometimes the powder drop funnel lines up perfectly and sometimes it creases the brass. Everything looks good as far as centering in the powder drop/primer station and all other stations are fine.  Could the powder drop funnel be off?  Any other ideas?  First problem with 650 .........Thanks

could be a lot of different things. Is primer punch centered in hole? 100% sure the right locator pins are installed? Is shell plate tight enough?

Primer punch is centered. Locator pins are correct and the shell plate height is good...........going to play with shell plate tightness tomorrow.............but problem is inconsistency........

sometimes when the plate is too loose or too tight it doesn't snap into dead center every time.

And if it's hit or miss check to see if any build up is in the shell plate where the rounds slide in to. Might be a piece of media of just gunk that keeps the odd round from going all the way in every time.
