shootmove
There are two observations that I know of to indicate "reset during recoil,' but I'm looking for drills to develop this skill. As background: reset during recoil enables faster shooting since the gun returns "ready to fire." The two observations that I am aware of are: a) fire the gun without hearing an audible sear-click; b) your trigger finger should not appear to move during as the gun returns to position. Observation b) is a bit problematic as some really fast shooters (e.g. Leatham) deliberately fly off the trigger right after the shot breaks. The only dryfire drill I know of, I invented . It involves elbow on an armrest. You then break the trigger, manually cycle the slide, and aim for passing observations a) and b). Anyone got good drills, dry or live, for reset during recoil? hrhawk
I practice on my couch. MAKE SURE GUN IS EMPTY. Pull trigger and pin to the rear, reach over slide and rack assertively. Reset while doing it. Break good trigger press and repeat a bajillion times.
